Image Compressor compresses images.

Data and storage

The workspace processes selected image bytes, names, dimensions and pixels, retaining temporary results in memory. Remove it all applies orientation and drops metadata; Keep everything retains EXIF, including GPS, in JPEG/PNG, but drops XMP, ICC, IPTC and JPEG COM; WebP outputs omit metadata. Keep preserves pixels and orientation for passthrough/lossless PNG; re-encoding applies orientation and sets its tag to 1.

Chrome storage has three entries: imageCompressorPrefs (target size, quality, shared controls, format, metadata and guide status); imageCompressorRatePrompt (prompt times, dismissal and rating choice); the welcome page's install-count identifier.

Feedback and ratings

One to three stars opens the hosted rating page. Submitted choices and comments reach the publisher. Four or five stars opens Chrome Web Store reviews when configured; otherwise a message appears. Goodbye survey opens on removal.

Analytics

Welcome, goodbye and rating pages count installs and removals by country through analytics. The welcome page opens once after the first installation and sends the install count through this site, which derives the country from the connection and stores nothing.

Retention and deletion

Closing the workspace ends its memory session; removing a row can leave Results history. Settings last until changed or uninstall; downloads require separate deletion; clearing storage does not erase external service records.

Your rights

Data is not sold or transferred for unrelated purposes. Rights: access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawing consent and complaints to a supervisory authority, without discrimination.

Children

Children have additional protections under applicable data-protection law.

Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
